 Annual
Giving Committee: It helps raise funds to meet the
needs of people served by the Lubbock State School. This committee
oversees the summer campaign letter and the Christmas appeal
letter.
Campus
Events Committee: It plans and carries out activities
for the people served by Lubbock State School. Activities
have included dances, ice cream socials, cookouts and events.
These events not only provide opportunities for fun, but also
enhance the social skills of people living at the school.

Endowment
Committee: It oversees investments and ensures the
Council is compliant with the investment policy.
Facility
Improvement Committee: It works with Lubbock State
School to identify needs for equipment, projects, and capital
construction. The committee also assists with identifying
sources for needed items.
Fair
Committee: It works with Parent Association to plan
and assist in running the two food booths during the Panhandle
South Plains Fair.

Tournament Committee: It raises funds to meet the
needs of people served by the Lubbock State School through
the Golf Tournament and food booth activities with the Parent
Association. The committee seeks to involve business and other
groups in fund raising activities.

Membership/Nominating
Committee: It seeks to increase community involvement
with the Volunteer Services Council and Lubbock State School.
The committee helps maintain and distribute new member orientation
materials. The committee works with local businesses and organizations
to encourage participation with the Volunteer Services Council
